Location: Johnson City, New York

Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT is responsible for performing CT procedures accurately and safely, ensuring timely and reliable evaluation of radiology procedures and equipment. The role involves maintaining effective communication with referring physicians and radiologists, providing patient education, and adhering to clinical principles and radiation safety practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures as requested by referring physicians.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
• Comply with hospital policies related to incident reporting.
• Demonstrate radiation safety practices for patients and co-workers.
• Participate in Radiology Management System functions related to patient procedures.
• Provide patient education as needed.
• Maintain effective communication with medical staff to ensure efficient delivery of CT services.
• Adhere to departmental service delivery standards and accepted clinical methods.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New York.
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year.
• NYS Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License with Injection Registered.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology.
