Location: Binghamton, New York

Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT is responsible for performing CT procedures accurately and safely, ensuring timely and reliable evaluation of radiology procedures and equipment. The role involves maintaining confidentiality, adhering to hospital policies, and providing patient education. Effective communication with referring physicians and radiologists is essential to ensure efficient delivery of CT services.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures as requested by referring physicians.
• Maintain radiation safety practices for patients and co-workers.
• Participate in Radiology Management System functions related to patient procedures.
• Provide patient education as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
• Comply with hospital policies on incident reporting.
• Adhere to clinical principles and accepted methods during CT procedures.
• Communicate effectively with medical staff and patients.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New York
• CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ARRT (R) certification
• Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License with Injection Registered
• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology
