CT Technologist - Contract

Location: New York, NY
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 9 weeks

Job Description

• Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic images.
• Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on all CT equipment before patient studies.
• Inject patients with radioactive material following physician orders and prescribed protocols.
• Complete all required documentation including logs, manuals, and charge documents; report equipment issues to comply with regulatory standards.
• Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests adhering to radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principle.
• Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
• Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use and verify receipt and activity level on delivery day.
• Exercise appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after visits in Radiology.

Schedule

• Weekend shifts: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM (16 hours per day, 32 hours per week)

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New York (L.R.T)
• ARRT Certification in Radiography and CT
• Completion of a Radiologic Technologist program
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
