Registered Nurse - Adult Care

Job Description

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.
Provide direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre- and post-surgery patients.
Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications.
Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
Adjust specialized medical equipment as needed; interpret and record measurements.
Monitor patients' vital signs and report adverse medication reactions promptly.
Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team.
Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care.
Maintain and update patient files, medical charts, and health records.
Adhere to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols.

Work Schedule

Approximately 7 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week.
Care provided in patients' homes.
Manage 4-8 patients per day.
Work every other weekend is required.

Required Qualifications

Experience

Minimum 1 year of Home Health experience within the last year.
Experience in Acute Care, Post Acute, and Home Care settings.
Med/Surg experience.
Post-operative care.

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.

Licensure & Certification

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
