Description
RN Oncology Infusion Clinic - Adult
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide nursing care to adult oncology infusion patients under general supervision.
- Administer chemotherapy drugs, PO and SC injections, and other medications as ordered by physicians.
- Consult with medical personnel regarding chemotherapy and side effects.
- Assist physicians during conscious sedation and minor diagnostic procedures.
- Monitor and document patient physiological data and responses to treatments.
- Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Educate patients and families about chemotherapy, clinic procedures, and care plans.
- Coordinate patient follow-up activities, referrals, and phone triage after clinic visits.
- Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- Minimum of 1 year of Hematology/Oncology infusion nursing experience within the last year
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Must be able to maintain good working relationships with other employees.
- Responsibilities include patient education, documentation, and collaboration with healthcare team members.
