Job Summary

• Perform diagnostic patient testing including EEG, EMG, nerve conduction velocities (NCV), sensory evoked potentials (EP), and polysomnographic testing with possible oxygen therapy and CPAP treatments.
• Set up rooms and equipment in hospital rooms, operating rooms, or clinics.
• Calibrate and maintain neurodiagnostic equipment.
• Read and score neurodiagnostic and/or polysomnographic tests.
• Take patient histories and instruct patients and families on test preparation, pre-test interviews, and follow-up appointments.
• May provide instruction and guidance to other technologists in the Neurodiagnostic and/or Sleep Disorders Lab.

Work Schedule

• Variable shifts
• 12 hours per day
• 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• EEG Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Certification or registration as R. EEG T., CLTM, R. EP T., CNIM, RPSGT, or RST
• Graduation from an acceptable program of Neurophysiology, or alternatively, two years of experience performing a variety of Sleep or Neurodiagnostic procedures if no graduation from an acceptable program
• EMG Technologist experience
