Location: Morristown, New Jersey

Hours: 13 hours per day, 39 hours per week

Job Summary

• Perform CT scanning procedures with professionalism and service excellence.
• Prepare and maintain medical, surgical, and radiological supplies according to protocols.
• Maintain sterility of field and instruments during procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to alleviate anxiety while respecting privacy and dignity.
• Verify patient identification and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Monitor patient condition before and after contrast injections; report changes promptly.
• Ensure availability of medical records, previous reports, labs, and patient history.
• Initiate emergency response if complications arise.
• Maintain adequate linen, contrast media, biopsy/drainage supplies, and inventory in scanning rooms.
• Assist with daily inventory, stocking, and cleaning of CT equipment and rooms.
• Coordinate emergency and unscheduled procedures, ensuring efficient workflow and patient safety.
• Communicate patient status with relevant departments and ensure timely patient transport post-procedure.
• Screen patients for allergies and medication incompatibilities; assess ability to tolerate contrast.
• Maintain QA/QC requirements per daily, monthly, and ACR specifications.
• Recognize and report equipment malfunctions and unusual findings to appropriate personnel.
• Follow venipuncture and power injector protocols.
• For urgent cases (e.g., Code Grey, Trauma), acquire, process, and send images immediately per protocol and notify radiologist.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New Jersey.
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
• ARRT RT (R) certification.
• ARRT RT (CT) certification.
• A high school diploma or GED, or completion of a radiographer technical training program from an accredited School of Radiography or a college-based radiography program.

Additional Information

• Weekend call (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from 7 AM to 8 PM required.
• Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
