Surgical Technician (Level 2) - Operating Room

- Day shift, 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM
- Wednesdays off
- On call
- 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Job Description
- Function as an integral part of the perioperative team under RN supervision during the intraoperative period.
- Maintain a sterile environment by applying principles of asepsis.
- Independently scrub basic surgical procedures.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating supplies and equipment for efficiency.
- Participate in room turnover, setup, and equipment sterilization and maintenance.
- Provide age-specific care to obstetrical patients as needed.
- Maintain safety for patients, coworkers, and self, adhering to safety and legal policies.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Surgical Technologist license in Illinois
- Minimum 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
- Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology or Certificate of completion of Surgical Technology program
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- IDPH Fingerprinting
