Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Certified First Surgical Assistant (FA) in Mattoon, Illinois. This position involves performing at a competent level of technologist practice within the operating room, supporting various surgical procedures with a focus on patient care and safety. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Mattoon, Illinois
• Schedule: Days, 10 hours shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • 2 or more years of FA experience
  • Proficient in orthopedic procedures such as total joints, hip fractures, arthroscopy, open reduction internal fixations (ORIFs), and shoulder scopes and replacements
  • Proficient in general, neuro, vascular, gynecological, and urological surgeries
  • Must be proficient with Da Vinci robotic systems
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or American Board of Surgical Assistants (ABSA) FA Certification
  • Valid surgical history skills checklist current within the past year and pertinent to the operating room setting
  • Able to provide two supervisory references with dates of employment
  • Must bring current license on first day of work
  • Work history documentation required
• Additional Information:
  • On-call requirement: 5-6 call shifts per month
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
