Description

Registered Nurse - Cancer Center Infusion

Location: New York, NY
Employment Type: Acute Nursing
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, no weekends
Hours: Approximately 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
Work Setting: Central office-based (not at a cancer facility) with required travel to select healthcare facilities


Job Description

  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver evidence-based educational programs and competency validation for oncology nursing staff
  • Collaborate with nurse leadership, clinical specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to support orientation, professional development, and continuing education
  • Monitor compliance with oncology-specific regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards, including Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) guidelines, chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification, and competency requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New York
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Oncology (2 years of experience)
  • Oncology experience within the last year
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy Certification
  • Chemotherapy certification
  • IV insertion skills
  • Phlebotomy skills
  • Preceptor experience
  • Infusion experience

  • Position requires travel to select healthcare facilities (details discussed during interview)
