CT Scan Technologist
Overview
- Location: Hackensack, New Jersey
- Specialty: CT scan technologist

- Shift: 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
- Hours: 40 per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in New Jersey
- CT Technologist (1 year of experience)
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program and high school diploma or equivalent
- CAT SCAN experience
Experience
- CT experience preferred: 6 months
Certification Timeline
- ARRT (CT) certification required within 12 months of hire
- BLS certification required within 3 months of hire
Schedule Notes
- Every third weekend
- Holidays as needed
- No on-call
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex CT procedures
- Review patient history and prepare documentation for imaging workflow
- Prepare and screen contrast questionnaires
- Administer contrast media as prescribed
- Verify exam appropriateness and coordinate clarification when needed
- Obtain outside studies and ensure they are available for comparison
- Provide exam copies to patients and requesting providers
- Evaluate radiographs for proper identification and diagnostic value
- Prepare patients for scanning and monitor for adverse reactions
- Perform venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures
- Lift up to 25 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs, and stand at least 6 hours per day
