CT Technologist
Overview
- Location: Brooklyn, New York
- Schedule: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Hours: 40 per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in New York
- CT Technologist (3 years of experience)
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ARRT (CT)
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program
Job Responsibilities
- Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques
- Complete daily quality control calibration checks and other quality assurance/safety tests
- Administer radioactive material and radiopharmaceutical doses according to physician orders and protocol
- Maintain required documentation, logs, manuals, and charge documents
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles
- Maintain and retrieve patient films and electronic records for radiologist interpretation
- Order, receive, and verify patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses before administration
