Description

Registered Nurse - Telemetry Contract

Role Overview

  • Provide safe, competent nursing care to assigned patients in a med surg/telemetry unit.
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM.
  • Schedule: 3x12 with weekends required.
  • Contract length: 9 weeks.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New York.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience.
  • Telemetry experience within the last year.
  • Critical Care Float experience.
  • 1 year of travel experience for travel positions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic experience is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
  • Associate degree in nursing is considered only with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and coordinate patient care using the nursing process.
  • Assess patient needs, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on care planning and patient education.
  • Support patient experience through communication, rounding, and service recovery.
  • Participate in quality improvement, safety practices, and clinical documentation.
  • Perform charge nurse duties as assigned.
  • Help manage supplies, staffing resources, and patient throughput.
