Description

CT Scan Technologist

Overview

Specialty: CT scan technologist
Location: Hackensack, New Jersey
Employment type: Clinical-allied
Contract length: 18 weeks
Shift: Tuesday–Saturday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
Hours: 40 per week

Required Qualifications

Valid CT Technologist license in New Jersey
CT Technologist (1 year of experience)
CT Technologist experience within the last year
Graduation from a Radiologic Technologist program and a high school diploma or equivalent
Thorough knowledge of PACS system

Preferred Experience

6 months of CT experience

Role Summary

Performs CT procedures and produces sectional and 3D images for interpretation
Assists with interventional and therapeutic procedures
Reviews patient history and prepares patients for scanning
Administers contrast media as prescribed
Monitors patients during procedures and provides patient instructions
Performs venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures
Works scheduled shifts, including holidays, weekends, overtime, and on-call assignments as needed

Additional Notes

The role requires lifting up to 25 lbs, pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs, and standing at least 6 hours per day
