Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist

Location

Johnson City, New York

Schedule

• Day shift
• 40 hours per week
• On-call: 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in New York
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience
• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology
• ARRT (R)
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Significant cardiac catheterization lab experience

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for cath lab procedures, including catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart procedures, peripheral angiography, temporary pacemaker insertion, and LV assist device insertions
• Operate advanced imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols
• Maintain radiation safety and other safety standards
• Perform quality assurance checks on equipment
• Assist with supply inventory
• Instruct students and residents and serve as a preceptor when needed
