CT Technologist

Location

  • Lexington, Kentucky

Schedule

  • 1st shift
  • 5x8s, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • Call, weekends, and holidays required

Contract Length

  • 14 weeks

Job Summary

  • Performs CT procedures and related image processing to support diagnosis or treatment.
  • Uses professional judgment and follows medical ethics while providing patient care during exams.
  • Monitors patients throughout procedures and applies radiation protection and ALARA principles.
  • Supports pediatric imaging adjustments in accordance with ACR Image Gently.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Kentucky
  • 3 years of CT Technologist experience
  • CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • ARRT (R)
  • ARRT (CT)
  • Associate's degree in Radiology
  • Mammography Technologist experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify orders and patient identity before exams
  • Perform and document peripheral venipuncture when needed
  • Document patient-care incidents in the electronic health record
  • Perform and document time-out procedures for invasive exams
  • Provide post-processing for exams per department protocol
  • Coordinate with transport and nursing units for patient exams
  • Assist radiologists and authorized providers with exams and procedures
  • Maintain image quality, quality control, and equipment checks
  • Report equipment malfunctions and environmental safety concerns
  • Participate in training new employees and supervising imaging students on site
