Job Description

• Provide individualized patient care in the Cath Lab under the supervision of the Director.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise care according to departmental policies and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Collaborate with physicians, patients/families, and healthcare team members to deliver and coordinate care plans.
• Perform nursing assessments and document appropriately.
• Manage discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
• Maintain professional standards through participation in inservices, committees, and performance improvement activities.
• Facilitate physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual care of patients.
• Utilize positive communication skills for conflict resolution and teamwork.
• Monitor use of time, equipment, and supplies to contribute to cost-effective care.
• Comply with safety policies to ensure a safe environment for employees, patients, and visitors.
• Demonstrate flexibility with changes in hospital or unit activities.
• May act as preceptor and charge nurse as assigned.
• May be required to work on other nursing units as needed.

Requirements

• Specialty: Cath Lab Nursing
• RN Experience: Minimum 4 years as an RN
• Cath Lab Experience: At least 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience
• Travel Experience: Minimum 1 year of travel experience in the specialty required
• Certifications:

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
