Description

Job Opportunity: RN Procedural - Electrophysiology Lab

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Registered Nurse - Direct Care

Job Description

Under general supervision, provide nursing care in a specialty area focused on electrophysiology. Core responsibilities include:

Managing an assigned group of patients
Documenting patient responses and changes in physician orders
Assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
Monitoring physiological data and intervening as needed
Administering medications and managing IV infusions and blood products
Delivering competent patient care and communicating care plans to patients and families
Overseeing treatment by technicians and other service providers
Delegating tasks to support staff
Making referrals regarding patient care needs
Performing other assigned duties

Contract Length

13 weeks

Required Experience

Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
May require completion of orientation and ability to function independently in the specialty area prior to assignment

Education Requirements

Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (required)
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a board-approved program (preferred)

Certifications & Licensure

Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association

Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team providing specialized care
Some computer skills
