Contract Length: 13 weeks

Provide direct care to CVICU patients, including post-operative CABG, vascular, and ICU status patients.
Perform all unit-specific nursing responsibilities within the scope of service.
Complete initial patient assessments upon admission and develop appropriate plans of care based on patient and family needs.
Implement and modify nursing interventions and patient care procedures as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care for use by the healthcare team.
Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing safety hazards and incidents.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and patients, offering constructive feedback and collaborating to enhance professional development.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Conduct hourly rounding on patients.
Proactively seek opportunities to assist internal and external customers.
Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience, including at least 3 years of CVICU experience.
CVICU experience within the last year.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
