Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.
Provide direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre- and post-surgery pediatric patients.
Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications.
Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
Adjust specialized medical equipment as needed; interpret and record measurements.
Monitor patients' vital signs and report adverse medication reactions promptly.
Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team.
Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care.
Maintain and update patient files, medical charts, and health records.
Adhere to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols.

Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Med/Surg Rehabilitation experience in a large acute care hospital setting, with the most recent experience within the past year.
Skills in physical assessment, medication administration, wound care, infection control, IV therapy, post-operative care, patient education, and telemetry monitoring.

Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institute.

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York with Primary Source Verification.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
