Job Summary
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process.
- Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care.
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to coordinate care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed or per protocols.
- Identify and address patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout care.
- Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel clinically.
- Complete patient population, age-specific, procedure, and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.
- Floating between departments or local locations within 20 miles is required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
- At least 13 weeks of total travel nursing experience
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
