Job Description

Provide nursing care under general supervision to pediatric patients in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) within a Level I trauma setting. Responsibilities include:

• Managing an assigned group of patients and documenting responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments.
• Assisting physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Monitoring physiological data and intervening as necessary.
• Administering medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products.
• Communicating care plans with patients and families, including at discharge.
• Referring patient care needs to appropriate personnel and delegating tasks to support staff.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
• Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience within the last year
• Experience working with pediatric patients in a CVICU setting
• Experience in a Level I Trauma setting
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Experience in an Inpatient setting
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
