Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Bricktown, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night
Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week

Job Summary

• Provide respiratory therapy under medical direction for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.
• Assist with intubation and manage ventilator set-up and operation.
• Evaluate patient needs through testing, education, and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and caregivers based on identified needs in an understandable manner.
• Develop rapport with patients, caregivers, and team members to support care goals.
• Perform duties in accordance with departmental policies and organizational standards.
• Physical requirements include lifting, pushing, and pulling a minimum of 5 lbs., and standing for at least 1 hour daily.
• Regular contact with medical personnel and visitors.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in New Jersey
• Current and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care license
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience in mechanical ventilation management

Physical & Work Environment

• Night shift with 12-hour shifts.
• Standing for at least 1 hour per day.
• Lifting, pushing, and pulling minimum 5 lbs.
