Required: RNs must have one year of inpatient experience minimum in the related department with the trauma level shown below                
Required: One year of travel experience is preferred but will consider six months’ travel                
Required: All Candidates are expected to Float as needed                

Required: may be floated to any area of the children's hospital

Job Summary

Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital setting to pediatric patients with a range of health conditions from simple to complex.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned group of patients, ensuring quality care delivery.
• Document patient responses to interventions and treatments, noting changes in physician orders.
• Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor and obtain physiological data, intervening as necessary.
• Administer prescribed medications, including initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products.
• Engage with patients and families to share care plans and provide discharge instructions.
• Inform patients and families about hospital procedures.
• Refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel and delegate tasks to support staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and procedures.
• Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a board-approved program.
