Registered Nurse - Pediatrics

Approximately 11 hours per day
Approximately 34.5 hours per week

Job Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
Provide direct bedside nursing care to pre- and post-surgery pediatric patients
Administer and document prescribed medications
Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
Adjust specialized medical equipment and interpret measurements
Monitor patient vitals and report adverse medication reactions promptly
Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team
Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care
Maintain and update patient files, medical charts, and health records
Follow best nursing practices, standards, and protocols

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York with Primary Source Verification
Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Experience in both Rehabilitation and Acute Care settings
Pediatric nursing experience
Med-Surg nursing experience
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
Telemetry monitoring experience
