Description

Job Summary

Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in line with state Board of Nursing standards.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
Collect and assess health data to evaluate patient health status.
Provide health teaching, counseling, therapy, and restorative treatment directly or indirectly.
Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
Monitor and review therapy and treatment plans.
Document patient care in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
Utilize resources effectively and promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health.
Float to other departments or be placed on-call during scheduled shifts as required.

Required Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN).
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Advanced certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS) as appropriate for the unit or service.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
Additional certifications relevant to the unit or service.
