Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography

• Detroit, Michigan

Job Summary

• Perform computerized tomographic (CT) radiological procedures under general supervision.
• May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations.
• Assist Radiologist with complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
• Administer intravenous contrast media, monitor patients for reactions, and provide immediate care if needed.
• Operate and manually control CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Prepare procedure room, replenish supplies, and ensure sterile equipment is ready.
• Follow radiation protection principles to minimize exposure (shielding, equipment settings, ALARA techniques).
• Manage imaging workflow including PACS image quality and Radiology Information System (RIS) study indexing.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members, demonstrating professionalism and customer service values.
• Complete all required documentation in medical records and radiology systems.

Work Schedule

• 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 14 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities including communication, ownership, motivation, sensitivity, teamwork, and respect.
• Must be self-directed, flexible, committed to teamwork, open to learning, and respectful of diversity.
• Ability to work in hospital fixed units or ambulatory mobile units.
• Awareness of physical demands including occasional lifting/moving of equipment or patients over 10 lbs.
• Must follow safety protocols to avoid radiation and high-voltage equipment hazards.
• Exposure to potentially contagious patients possible.
