36 hours per week
Workdays: Thursday, Friday, Saturday (12-hour shifts)

Job Description

Perform computerized axial tomography (CT) procedures using various imaging equipment and contrast materials.
Prepare and administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast as appropriate.
Acquire and process patient exams, including multiplanar reformats and 3D rendered images independently.
Review patient labs and history to ensure correct exam performance.
Screen patients for pregnancy and perform pregnancy testing if applicable.
Recognize and respond to adverse or allergic reactions.
Ensure safety of patients, visitors, and environment; report safety events immediately.
Assist in instruction of students and new staff.
May perform duties of CT Lead or Imaging Coordinator in their absence.
Assist other areas during downtimes to maintain productivity.
May perform duties in other modalities within the department if licensed and cross-trained.
Comply with protocols and guidelines from accrediting bodies and manufacturers.

Required Qualifications

Education

Associate's degree in a relevant field, or a Certificate in Radiologic Technology

Certifications & Licensure

Valid CT Technologist license in Illinois
Radiography (R)(ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Tech Certification (NMTCB)
Computed Tomography (CT)(ARRT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Experience & Skills

Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
