Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent, quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others. The role involves delivering patient care through the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care, utilizing the nursing process, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. The nurse prioritizes patient care, educates patients and caregivers, and ensures effective communication with all stakeholders. Additionally, the role includes responsibilities in quality and safety, patient experience, operations, and professional development.
Required Qualifications:
- Active NYS RN License
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of post-open heart and cardiac care unit experience
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- 1 year of travel experience (required for travel positions, not for per diem)
- EPIC experience (highly preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Associate degree in nursing considered with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN program
