Job Summary: The Registered Nurse performs under the direct supervision of the Patient Care Coordinator and is delegated an assignment to achieve quality patient care. The RN implements the nursing process in an organized, systematic manner, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in collaboration with the Patient Care Coordinator, Physicians, and ancillary staff. Responsibilities include documentation in the Patient Care Record, direct observation by the Nurse Manager, and patient evaluations of care. The RN is accountable to the Nurse Manager and may be assigned additional duties by the Patient Care Coordinator or Patient Care Manager.

Required Qualifications:

• Two years of experience as a Med Surg Tele RN
• Graduate of a recognized and accredited Registered Nurse program
• Licensed RN able to practice in the State of MS
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Additional Information:

• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care and respond to patient condition changes
• Performs technical skills such as administering medications, starting IVs, venipuncture, and more
• Operates and troubleshoots medical equipment including traction devices, wound vacuums, and telemetry monitors
• Ensures thorough and timely documentation and communication with the healthcare team
• Implements comprehensive care plans for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, stroke care, and medical-surgical care
• Promotes a culture of caring through compassionate care, teamwork, and courtesy
• Practices cost-efficient use of supplies and ensures timely patient discharges
