Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care in alignment with the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Nursing. Utilizing Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, Relationship-Based Care, and NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model, the RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for assigned patients. The RN collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote, maintain, and restore health, ensuring care is tailored to the physiological, developmental, and psychosocial needs of the patient. The RN is expected to demonstrate competency in applying the nursing process, provide culturally competent and ethical care, and act as a patient advocate. Additional responsibilities include effective communication, documentation, delegation, and contributing to a positive patient care experience.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) years of acute care experience
• Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing
• Associate Degree or BSN accepted
• Active CA RN License
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications

• Ability to perform physical duties such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, twisting, and reaching
• Completion of annual organizational requirements for employment
