Job Title: Lexington-RN-Cath Lab
Shift: DAYS: 4x10s 7a-5:30p with call requirements
Location: Lexington, KY

Job Summary: The RN implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. Nursing practices are based on evidence and current research as well as hospital and department policies and procedures, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines. Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking, and creativity. Nursing excellence is promoted through helping relationships among nursing staff and across other disciplines. Responsibilities include coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through nursing rounds, assessments, treatments, facilitating admissions, transfers, discharges, patient and family-centered education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning.

Required Qualifications:

• ADN or ASN
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
• BLS certification
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with other care team members
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
• Shows understanding and knowledge of computer systems and applications or ability to be trained
• Practices effective, clear, and respectful communication (verbal and written)
• Accepts responsibility for words, actions, attitude, and results while meeting deadlines and performance expectations

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN
• Previous nursing experience

• Unit is looking for candidates with 2-3 years of recent experience in a busier cath lab
