Job Summary: The Echocardiographer is responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound procedures, including 2-D M-Mode, color flow imaging, stress echo, TEE, and Doppler studies. They assist credentialed cardiology attendings during stress echocardiogram and TEE procedures, maintain knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology, and ensure digital acquisition and storage of echo studies for physician interpretation. Additional responsibilities include patient care, equipment maintenance, adherence to aseptic techniques, and participation in performance improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
• Familiarity with computers, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile operative techniques
• Documentation of at least 15 hours of echocardiography-related continuing education over three years
• Competencies, certifications, and continuing education to meet facility accreditation or licensing requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of a certified cardiovascular technology school or accredited ultrasonography program specializing in cardiac sonography
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certification
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification within 30 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications:
• One-year clinical echocardiography experience
• Two years of prior experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory or invasive procedure area

Additional Information:
• Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call
• Must have at least two years of experience
