Job Title: RN-Infant Special Care
Location: South Carolina
Job Summary: To provide nursing care for patients following established standards and practices in accordance with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act. This includes applying professional nursing theory and practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The role involves constant interaction with internal and external customers, including patients, families, physicians, employees, and visitors. The position requires frequent physical activity, exposure to healthcare-related risks, and the ability to work under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours. Weekend, holiday, or on-call work may be required based on departmental needs.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of Level 2 Nursery experience
- American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina or holds a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing
- NRP Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN preferred or required within five (5) years of hire date
- Experience with CPAP, hypoglycemia, NAS, and high flow
- Level II or Level III NICU experience
Additional Information:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, and stooping
- Frequent lifting/moving of patients
- Intermittent lifting, moving, or carrying up to 50 lbs
- Exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and communicable diseases
- Moderate noise level in the work area
