Sterile Processing Tech

Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for assembling, cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and storing procedure trays, surgical trays, and equipment. This role involves distributing medical equipment and supplies to meet the needs of various departments, operating and monitoring sterilization equipment, and ensuring proper decontamination procedures. The position also includes maintaining records, tracking instruments, and responding to emergency situations to support the Operating Room and other units. Additional responsibilities include providing on-the-job training to new associates, promoting organizational values, and performing other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team.
- Experience and understanding in the use of computers and relevant software for Sterile Processing.
- Ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
- Regular attendance during scheduled business hours or shifts.
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinic operating room.
