Job Title: RN - ED

Job Summary:
Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. The RN evaluates health status through ongoing data collection, provides health teaching and counseling, and delivers therapy and treatment to support life and well-being. Additional duties include executing delegated medical functions, referring patients for further evaluation, reviewing therapy plans, and documenting per hospital and regulatory guidelines. The role may require floating to other departments and being on-call during scheduled shifts.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN).
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications as appropriate for the unit or service.
- 1-2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Certification as appropriate for the unit or service.
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
Additional Information:
- Certifications required per manager: BLS, TNCC, PALS, ACLS.
