Job Title: Louisville-RN-Coronary Care Unit

Location: Louisville, KY 

Job Summary:

The RN implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. Nursing practices are based on evidence and current research as well as hospital and department policies and procedures, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines. Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking, and creativity. Nursing excellence is promoted through helping relationships among nursing staff and across other disciplines. Responsibilities include coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through nursing rounds, assessments, treatments, facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge activities, patient and family-centered education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning.

Required Qualifications:

• No prior experience required.
• Proficiency in administering medications, performing medical procedures such as wound care and IV therapy, and utilizing medical equipment and technology.
• Strong assessment skills, critical thinking abilities, and the capacity to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and providing clear explanations to patients and families.
• Deep understanding of medical terminology, disease processes, and healthcare regulations to ensure competent and safe delivery of care.
• Combination of clinical expertise, empathy, and adaptability to meet the complex needs of patients while upholding professional standards of nursing practice.

Required Education:

• ADN or ASN.

Preferred Education:

• BSN.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• BLS, ACLS certification.
