Job Summary: Under general supervision, the RN PACU provides nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with health conditions ranging from simple to complex. The role involves delivering competent patient care, administering medications, monitoring physiological data, assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, and providing discharge education for post-operative patients. The RN PACU interacts with patients and their families to share care plans and hospital procedures, delegates tasks to support staff, and ensures effective communication and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

Required Qualifications:

• 1 year of nursing experience.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
• Basic computer skills.

Required Education:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing from a Board Approved Program.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
• Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• PALS certification (American Heart Association).
