Description
Requirements: 26-week contracts with guaranteed 48 hours/week. Previous work in Children's only hospital preferred.
Required: RNs must have one year of inpatient experience minimum in the related department with the trauma level shown below
Required: One year of travel experience is preferred but will consider six months’ travel
Required: All Candidates are expected to Float as needed.

Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Respiratory Care Practitioner will provide services for the Respiratory Therapy Department in a timely and efficient manner for all appropriate age levels and in all areas served by the department. Responsibilities include administering therapeutic treatments, recording treatment information, performing diagnostic testing, providing age-appropriate care, maintaining respiratory equipment, and responding to cardiac and respiratory arrests.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program.
- Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (American Heart Association) within 3 months of hire.
- The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential must be received within 12 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting.
Skills:
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques of Respiratory Therapy and the operation and repair of respiratory equipment.
- Clinical decision-making skills appropriate to patient care as it relates to the pulmonary and cardiac system and to the age of the patient.
- Ability to interpret the appropriate information to identify patient’s needs.
- Ability to work under stress.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a good working relationship with coworkers and staff.
- Some computer skills.
