Required: One year of travel experience is preferred but will consider six months’ travel

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, the RN PACU provides nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with health conditions ranging from simple to complex. The role involves delivering competent patient care, administering prescribed medications, monitoring physiological data, and assisting physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures. The RN PACU interacts with patients and their families to share care plans, inform them of hospital procedures, and ensure a smooth discharge process. Additional responsibilities include delegating tasks to support staff and making referrals to appropriate personnel regarding patient care needs.

Required Qualifications:

• 1 year of nursing experience.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
• Basic computer skills.

Required Education:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing from a Board Approved Program.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
• Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• PALS certification (American Heart Association).
