Job Summary:
The CT Tech performs a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. This position requires ingenuity, initiative, and independent judgment to perform high-quality scans. Responsibilities include operating CT equipment, ensuring patient safety, adhering to radiation safety guidelines, and maintaining accurate records. The role also involves patient education, infection control practices, and staying updated with advancements in CT technology.

Required Qualifications:
 

• Understanding of sectional anatomy, anatomic terminology, and positioning competency.
• Proficiency in operating CT equipment and imaging techniques.
• Knowledge of protocols for contrast administration and injector operation.
• Proficiency with electronic imaging systems.
• Ability to recognize and respond to emergent patient situations.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a safe environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
 

• One (1) – Two (2) years of CT experience in a healthcare setting.
• Certified Computed Tomography Technologist - ARRT (R)(CT).
• Fluoroscopy certification (for Colorado caregivers).

Required Certifications & Licensure:
 

• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R).
• Licensure in the state of practice as applicable.

Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
 

• Certified Computed Tomography Technologist - ARRT (R)(CT).
• Fluoroscopy certification (for Colorado caregivers).
