Job Summary:
Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. The role involves evaluating health status through ongoing data collection, performing health teaching and counseling, and providing therapy and treatment that supports life and well-being. Additional duties include executing delegated medical functions, referring patients for further evaluation, reviewing therapy plans, and documenting per hospital and regulatory guidelines. The RN may be required to float to other departments or be on-call during scheduled shifts.
Required Qualifications:
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN)
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications as appropriate for the unit or service
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse
• Certification appropriate for the unit or service
