Description

Job Title: Surgical Tech - Certified

Location: Paducah, KY

Job Summary:
The Surgical Technologist serves as a primary scrub person or assistant for operative procedures. Responsibilities include surgical preparation, assisting during surgical cases, post-case cleanup, and adherence to hospital policies and procedures. The role requires maintaining sterile fields, collaborating with circulating nurses, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Required Qualifications:
- Seven (7) years of experience.
- Completion of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Surgical Tech program or a Surgical Technologist program in the United States Armed Forces.
- BLS certification.
One of the following certifications:
- NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
- NCCT Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS‑C).

Preferred Qualifications:
- None specified.

Additional Information:
- The Surgical Technologist is responsible for ensuring instruments are sterilized, maintaining sterile fields, assisting physicians, and performing post-case cleaning duties.
- Compliance with hospital policies, mandatory education, and HR requirements is essential.
