Job Title: Resp Care Pract RRT 1 IP - RMH Resp

Job Summary:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides comprehensive respiratory care under the guidance of a qualified physician and the Director of Respiratory Therapy. Responsibilities include administering oxygen therapy, managing ventilators and CPAP devices, assisting with intubation, performing airway maintenance, and conducting pulmonary function testing. The RRT ensures safe handling of respiratory equipment, practices age-specific care, and adheres to clinical standards.

Required Qualifications:
• 1+ years of experience in respiratory therapy, ventilator management, electrocardiogram, oxygen administration, and airway management.
• Basic knowledge of pulmonary and cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or Certificate in Respiratory Therapy.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications (American Heart Association).
• Illinois RCP license.
• NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist.

• None specified.

Additional Information:
• The RRT must be capable of working independently and supervising shifts when needed.
• Practices the WAY TO BE standards.
• Performs arterial punctures and arterial line draws in accordance with guidelines and competencies.
• Sensitive to age-specific needs and adapts clinical approaches accordingly.
