Job Title: RN - PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Job Summary: Under general supervision, the RN PACU provides nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. This role involves delivering competent patient care, administering medications, monitoring physiological data, assisting physicians, and interacting with patients and families to share care plans and hospital procedures. The RN PACU also delegates tasks to support staff and performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• 1 year of nursing experience.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
• Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS (American Heart Association).
• PALS (American Heart Association).
