Requirement - PEDS CV ICU
13 week assignment
Day/Night Rotation (0700-1930 and 1900-0730), 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every 3rd weekend.
**Option for 48 hours guaranteed can be discussed and determined at offer**
Floating is required as needed to other areas within the Mayo Clinic Children’s Center. This may include NICU and General Pediatric care areas.
6 months of previous travel required, 1 year strongly preferred. Two years of Peds CVS ICU experience required.

Job Summary: The registered nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across various settings and the continuum of care to meet patient and family needs. Operating within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, the RN plans, implements, evaluates, and communicates all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. Leadership activities include serving as a preceptor, informal leader, and participating in quality improvement efforts. The RN delegates care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, and available resources. Strong communication, mentoring, and teaching skills are essential.
Required Qualifications:
- Student or graduate of an accredited baccalaureate, associate, or diploma nursing program recognized by ACEN or CCNE.
- Current RN license as per state requirements.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
- Additional specialty certifications/training as required by the work area.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery ICU experience.
- Strong cardiac monitoring skills.
- Experience with central/arterial line management, pacemaker management, and heart transplant care.
- ECMO experience is a plus but not required.
