Job Title: Radiology Interventional Technologist
Location: Not specified
Job Summary:
Under the direction of a Radiologist, specializes in the performance of procedures of an invasive nature to aid in the evaluation of pathological entities as prescribed by a physician. Responsibilities include preparing patients, administering contrast media, assisting the Radiologist during procedures, maintaining sterile equipment, and ensuring patient safety. The role also involves performing imaging procedures, managing PACS and RIS systems, and adhering to radiation protection principles. Additional duties include quality assurance, documentation, and training new personnel or students.
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Must maintain required hours of continued medical education
• Must maintain a Healthcare Provider certification (BLS)
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) with advanced registry in one of the following:
- Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI)
- Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI)
- Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV)
