Radiology Interventional Technologist
Job Summary
Under the direction of a Radiologist, specializes in the performance of procedures of an invasive nature to aid in the evaluation of pathological entities as prescribed by a physician. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, administering prescribed medications, assisting Radiologists in complex diagnostic procedures, and ensuring proper imaging techniques and safety practices.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Must maintain required hours of continued medical education.
- Must maintain a Healthcare Provider certification (BLS).
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) with advanced registry in one of the following: Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI), Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI), or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV).
