Radiographer (Radiologic Technologist)

Job Summary
Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Radiographer performs radiologic procedures to evaluate pathological entities as ordered by a physician. This role involves utilizing independent judgment to determine appropriate radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices. The Radiographer ensures optimal patient care, safety, and comfort while adhering to department protocols.

Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Must maintain the required hours of continued education.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in teaching or educating new hires and students.
• Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems.

Certifications/Licenses
• Registered in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or registry eligible (must obtain registry within 6 months of hire).
• Healthcare Provider certification required (BCLS).

Additional Information
• Work may involve exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and potentially contagious patients.
• Occasionally requires lifting and/or moving equipment or patients exceeding 10 lbs.
• Must demonstrate customer service values including communication, ownership, understanding, motivation, sensitivity, excellence, teamwork, and respect.
• Must be self-directed, flexible, committed to teamwork, and open to new learning experiences.
• Must accept and respect diversity without judgment.
