Job Summary:
Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Radiographer performs radiologic procedures to evaluate pathological entities as ordered by a physician. This role involves utilizing independent judgment to determine appropriate radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices. The Radiographer ensures optimal patient care, safety, and compliance with department protocols.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Must maintain the required hours of continued education.
• Registered in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or registry eligible (must obtain registry within 6 months of hire).
• Healthcare Provider certification (BCLS).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in teaching or educating new hires and students.
• Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems for imaging and study indexing.

Additional Information:

• Work may involve exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and potentially contagious patients.
• Occasional lifting or moving of equipment and/or patients exceeding 10 lbs.
• Must demonstrate customer service values, including communication, teamwork, and respect.
